Marshall R. Todd Penn Yan: Marshall R. Todd, age 72, of Penn Yan, NY died Sunday August 10, 2014 at Hospeace House, in Naples, NY. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 13) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee. His funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday (Aug. 14) at the Barrington Community Church, 4560 Old Bath Rd. Dundee with Rev. Gerald Vanaman officiating. Burial will follow in Second Milo Cemetery, Second Milo, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospeace House, P.O. Box 343, Naples, NY 14512. Marshall was born December 28, 1941 in the Town of Milo, the youngest son of the late Everett S. and Mary J. Slocum Todd. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1959. On Oct. 23, 1970 in Second Milo, NY he married the former Susie M. Ross. A life-long local resident and self-employed beef cattle farmer, Marshall worked as a heavy equipment operator for 30 years for the N.Y.S. D.O.T. out of Penn Yan, NY, retiring in 2003. Mr. Todd was a devoted member, Deacon and Trustee of the Barrington Community Church, in his younger years he was a member of F.F.A. (Future Farmers of America), and was a Cattle Judge on the State Level, the Barrington Grange, and 4-H. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of 43 years, Susie M. Todd at home; 2 daughters Julie A. (Wayne) Wheeler, and Sarah J. (Timothy) Rood both of Penn Yan; 2 grandchildren Alora A. Bouton, and Lukas M. Rood; his brother John (Bonnie) Todd of Auburn, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Online condolences can be sent by visiting www.bairdfuneralhomedundee.com.
