Lydia V. Martini Dundee: Lydia V. Martini, age 102, formerly of Scranton PA, and Himrod, NY died Friday May 22, 2015 at The Homestead, in Penn Yan, N.Y. Friends are invited to calling hours from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Tuesday (May 26) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday (May 28) in the Italian-American Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel in Scranton, PA. Entombment will be in Italian-American Cemetery, Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Road North, Rochester, NY 14609-5896. Lydia was born October 24, 1912 in Jessup, PA, the daughter of the late Guildo and Virginia Basciotto Menichetti. On July 27, 1933 she married the late Nello Leo Martini who passed away on Feb. 17, 2008. She was a retired seamstress in Scranton, moving to Himrod in 2008. She is loved and will be missed by 3 grandchildren Douglas (Jackie) Martini of Himrod, John Martini of Addison, NY, Laura (Paul) Ferratella of Painted Post, NY; 5 great grandchildren Rocky Martini, Michael Martini, Beckie Martini, Louie Ferratella, Paul Ferratella; a daughter in law Bonnie Martini of Painted Post; a brother in law Louie (Angie) Martini of Scranton, PA; 3 nephews Hugo Murazzi, Johnny Murazzi, and Nino Murazzi.
