Obituary of Joyce V. Bellis

Joyce V. Miller Bellis Dundee: Joyce V. Miller Bellis, age 85, of Dundee, NY passed away on Thursday September 17, 2015, in the comfort of her daughter Linda's home with family at her side. Honoring her wishes there are no calling hours and services will be private at the convenience of the family. She will be buried alongside her husband in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad 12 Union St. Dundee, NY 14837. Joyce was born April 13, 1930 in Penn Yan, NY, the daughter of the late Raymond R. and Helen Jayne Miller Sr. She attended Dundee Central School. On May 3, 1953 in Dundee, NY she married the late Gabe C. Bellis, who passed away on July 11, 2012. A life-long area resident, Joyce first worked in her parent's Miller's Restaurant, she then helped her husband at his gas station the former Kenyon Gas Station on Rte 54. She was also a former vineyard worker, and worked for 12 years at Seneca Foods in Dundee. A loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her, she loved time spent with family, cooking and baking and cheering for the N.Y. Yankee's. She is survived by her 3 daughters Cindy (Paul) Redmond of Auburn, Connie (Robert) Walts of Phoenix, AZ, Linda (Steve) Benson of Auburn; 4 grandchildren, Kara (Vinnie) LaMacchia, Michelle (Kevin) Lepak, Nathan (Jennifer) Benson, & Patrick Benson; 5 great grandchildren, Vinnie & Robbie LaMacchia, Maeve & Aiden Lepak, and Emaline Benson; 2 brothers Roger F. (Cora) Miller, Raymond J. (Jane) Miller, and a sister Irene J. Harris all of Dundee; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by 2 brothers Jack V. Miller in 1986, Clayton R. Miller in 2002, and a sister Evelyn M. Myers in 1992. Arrangements were by the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee.
