Harold F. ''Harry'' Carlyon Jr. Dundee: Harold F. ''Harry'' Carlyon Jr., age 86 of Dundee passed away on Wednesday January 7th, 2021 at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home. Harry was born on January 9th, 1934 in Grand Rapids Michigan. He was the son of the late Harold and Ruth (Perry) Carlyon Sr. A graduate of Creston High School in 1952; he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Wisconsin 1953 to 1957. He attended Michigan State University 1957 to 1961 where he earned a B.S. in poultry science. Harry worked in agriculture for 8 years before becoming an Elementary teacher at Dundee Central School 1969 to 1994. He was one of the original vendors/stock holders to start the Windmill Farm and Craft Market, where he owned "Oh'Fudge!" from 1987 to 2006. Harry was a lifetime member of Goodrich Smith VFW post 8649, Bradley Jessop American Legion post 660 Dundee NY and the Dundee Masonic Lodge #123 F & A.M. Harry is dearly loved and will be forever missed by his wife of almost 27 years, Beverly (Curran) Carlyon, one living sister Karen Burnet of Florida, four daughters, Deirdre (Jim) Coriale, Lisa (Dave) Harvey, Briana (Dave) Wignall, Merritt (Don) Sutterby, 3 step children, Lori (Doug) Miller, Jeff (Sara) Curran, Mary (Todd) Sotir; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was pre deceased by his first wife, Patricia (Becker) Carlyon, one sister, Esther White and one brother in law Don Burnet. There will be no prior calling hours. A celebration of life will occur post covid, at the convenience of the family at a later date to be announced. Inurnment will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Dundee.
