Dundee: E. Grace Kaufman, age 90, of Dundee, NY passed away on Saturday March 1, 2025 at The Homestead, in Penn Yan, N.Y.
Honoring her wishes there will be no prior calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.

Grace was born and named Ethel Grace Johnson on March 11, 1934 in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York; one of 5 daughters of the late Townsend Thomas Johnson and Elizabeth Violet (Doxey) Johnson. Not liking the name Ethel, she has been known to all as Grace. She graduated from Glen Cove High School in 1952. On February 7, 1959 she married Donald E. Noveck Sr., together they moved to Interlaken, NY. Grace worked as a bank teller both on Long Island, and Interlaken while raising her family of 4 children by her husband Don. They moved the family to the west side of Seneca Lake in 1972, settling in the Dundee area. Donald passed away unexpectedly in June of 1982. She met and fell in love with Richard D. 'Dick' Kaufman Sr. who had 3 children of his own. They got married in Dundee on Dec. 20, 1984 and have been inseparable ever since; celebrating 40 years of marriage this past December.
Grace loved working in the vineyards and was a respected vineyardist for many years, having worked for many local grape farmers and training countless other workers. She was a past member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary; the Penn Yan Ladies of the Moose; and numerous bowling leagues over the years; and has always been an active participant and supporter of the Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Association.
She is loved and will be dearly missed by her husband 'Dick' Kaufman at home; her four children Elizabeth G. (Steven) Dell of Orangeville, PA, Donald E. (Deborah) Noveck II of Catawissa, PA, Thomas T. Noveck of Topeka, KS, and Jann M. (Stephen Gregorowicz) Noveck of Catawissa, PA; Dick's daughters whom she loved as her own Debbie J. Sleight of Auburn, NY, and Kristie L. Schmitt of Weedsport, NY; 20 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and In laws.
Besides her parents, and first husband, she was predeceased by her stepson Richard D. Kaufman Jr. in 2016; and 4 sisters, and 1 brother.
