Obituary of James C. Yeoman

James C. Yeoman Dundee / Bath: James C. Yeoman, age 79, of Bath, NY died Saturday April 5, 2025 at Guthrie Robert-Packer Hospital, in Sayre, PA. Honoring his wishes there are no calling hours. Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee, NY, at the convenience of his family. A celebration of life will be held later, to be announced. James was born on September 19, 1945, in Bath, NY, the son of the late James Aaron and Irene Frances (Robinson) Yeoman. He graduated from Hammondsport High School in 1963. He then entered the U.S. Army, serving in Korea and Germany; honorably discharged in 1966. Jim loved racing, and in the late 60's he raced stock cars, at Dundee Speedway. He competed in Mud Bogs and drag races in his DODGE at Manchester, Bajagerossa, Binghamton, up to Bradford PA. He ran his jeeps, in the hill climbs. He enjoyed riding his ATV with family and friends. Euchre, one of his favorite card games, he would play all night if he could. He was a logger in his younger years. He then became a roofer employed by Liquid Control Systems, Cayuga Lake Roofing, Ferrall Roofing and CFE. He had a crew that traveled up and down the east coast following the latest hurricane or tornado. He thought of his crew as an extended family. He had a great sense of humor and was cracking jokes to the end. He is survived by 3 daughters Angela I. (Shawn Brewer) Wodarski, Teresa L. Yeoman, and Stacey H. Yeoman; 4 stepchildren Debi (Mike Holcombe) Dutton-Calhoun, Connie (Bob) Peacock, Carol (Kevin) Vanderpoel, and Scott Thompson; 6 grandchildren and several step grandchildren; 3 great-great granddaughters; 2 brothers Carl Yeoman, and Richard (Diane) Yeoman; a sister Betty Sands; and several nieces and nephews. Two very dear friends, Joe Mattison and Rodd Hoffman Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his second wife Judy Lane Richardson Yeoman on Oct. 26, 2021; a stepson David Dutton; a brother Timothy Yeoman; and a sister-in law Sandy Yeoman.
