Obituary of Wm. Keith Boorom

William Keith Boorom Dundee: W. Keith Boorom, age 74, of Dundee, NY passed away due to an unexpected health issue, with his loving family at his side on Monday July 21, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester, N.Y. A soiree in his honor will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday August 17 at Tabora Winery 4978 Lakemont-Himrod Rd. Dundee, NY. Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Dundee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Yates County, P.O. Box 12, Penn Yan, N.Y. 14527. Keith was born August 17, 1950 in Penn Yan, NY, to the late William K. and Beverly J. (Eyrich) Boorom. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1969. A lifelong local resident, he worked numerous jobs in retail sales, accounting, and hospitality before he discovered his calling in the wine industry, working in the tasting rooms, and ushering tours spanning 50 years for numerous local wineries; including Bully Hill, Glenora, Castle Grisch, Fulkerson, and currently Tabora. A longtime attendee of the Dundee Baptist Church, he loved jazz music, interior design, and was an OCD sock hoarder. He is loved dearly and will be missed by his 2 sisters Susan L. Long of Dundee, Judi A. (Gary DeJong) Messenger of Pinetown, NC; his niece Megan (Anthony) Hill, and her daughter Aubrey Boorom, and nephew Matthew E. Messenger all whom he loved as his own. His brother Thomas E. Boorom of Fruitland Park, FL; along with several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by 2 sisters Nina M. DeJong, and Kimberly R.
