Carol Ann Bambey Dundee: Carol Ann Bambey, age 82, of Dundee, NY passed away Wednesday July 23, 2025 at Keuka Comfort Care Home, in Penn Yan, NY. Calling hours will be Tuesday July 29, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee, NY. The family respectfully declines flowers, and requests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society Of Yates County, P.O. Carol was born November 17, 1942 in Jamaica, Queens, New York, the daughter of the late Frederick and Rosemary (Riordan) Mohr. After her father's death her mother's 2nd husband Phillip Barberie raised her. She graduated from Hicksville High School in 1960. On May 23, 1970 in Locust Valley, NY she married David P. Bambey. They moved to the Finger Lakes in 1981. An entrepreneur and an accomplished artist, with a love of animals, and crafts, she was the founder and operator of It's Pawsable, at the Windmill Farm and Craft Market in Penn Yan, NY. Her art work has memorialized pets and warmed the hearts of all who have patronized her booth in building 1. She is loved and will be forever missed by her husband of 55 years David P. Bambey at home; 2 daughters Jean T. (William) Rowley of Brockport, NY, and Laura L. (Paul) Little of Chittenango, NY; a son David 'Phil' A. Bambey of Nokomis, FL; 5 grandchildren Hannah Applebaum, Edward Rowley, Frank Vair, William (Amy) Vair, and Paul Vair; 2 great grandchildren Rubin & Zechariah Vair; 3 sisters Jean (Bob) Richardson of FL, Marjorie (John) Jeren of OH, Phyllis Hammond of FL; along with several nieces and nephews.
