On March 3rd, 1968, Doc Thurling crawled forward into a killing zone in order to treat and help casualties from first platoon after the first platoon medic was killed. He was brave, caring, and a good medic. He was also a good man. Deborah, my wife and I are sorry for your loss. Love, Terry and Hope Jones
