Constance Scotchmer Wayne: Connie L. Scotchmer, age 78, of Wayne, NY passed away at home on Tuesday, February 18th, 2014. Connie was born in Bradford, NY on July 16th, 1935 the daughter of the late Herbert and Alice Stopka Burgess. She was everybody's mom and she loved every one. She spent many years working as a housekeeper, dog sitting, and making doll clothes. She was a past member of the Wayne American Legion Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Connie was predeceased by her husband, Forrest Robert Scotchmer in 1999. Connie is survived by her children, Terry Scotchmer, Nancy (Dennis) Campbell, Patricia Dillard, and Robert Scotchmer; several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; sisters, Joyce (Ronald A. Thomas) Turner and Dorothy (John Flanagan) Pulver; brother, Herbert (Mary) Burgess Jr.; and her special caregiver, Diane Sutton. A memorial service celebrating Connie's life and interment at the Wayne Village Cemetery, Wayne, NY will be at a later date at the convenience of her family. Connie's family wishes to extend an appreciation to Hospice.
