Raymond C. Flint Dundee, NY Raymond C. Flint, 83, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Lady Lake, Florida. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday (May 14) at the Baird Funeral Home 36 Water St. Dundee, NY; where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday (May 15) with Lay Pastor Priscilla Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Rochester, the ALS Association of Central New York, or a hospice facility of your choice. Ray was born July 26, 1930 in Alexander, New York to the late Clarence and Catherine (Welker) Flint. He honorably served his country in the Korean War and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Roberts Wesleyan College, a Master's degree in Physical Education from SUNY Brockport and advanced degrees in Educational Administration from Ithaca College. Ray was a physical education teacher at Dundee Central School from 1967 until his retirement in 1985. During his tenure he coached Varsity Basketball among many other sports. Prior to moving to Dundee, Ray taught and coached Basketball in the Churchville-Chili and North Rose School Districts. He and his wife owned and operated the Watkins Glen Dairy & Snack Bar, Sandy Acres Mobile Home Park, and Dundee Village Laundromat for several years. After retirement, Ray sold real estate and enjoyed spending winters in The Villages of Lady Lake, Florida where he played numerous rounds of golf. In the summers, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren on Seneca Lake. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 58 years, Joan (Silfee) Flint at home; his children Michael Flint of Bath, Patricia (Jonathan) Beck of Newark Valley, Steven (Nicole) Flint of Caledonia; 10 grandchildren, Maureen, Leah, Amelia, Abigail, Claire, Robert, Madeleine, Alexandra, Gillian and Kevin. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his eldest daughter, Jill Diane, and a dear daughter in law, Karen DePonceau Flint.
