In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church he attended Monterey Baptist Church, 911 County Road 16, Beaver Dams, NY 14812.
Dave was born May 26, 1937 in the Town of Tyrone, a son of the late Mathew and Bessie Mae Scott Perry Sr. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army for two years, during which time he was stationed in Alaska. On August 21, 1959 in the Town of Troupsburg he married the former Laura L. Yanushot. They moved to California, where he worked in the construction business. He returned to N.Y. in 1962; with the experience he gained in the construction field in both AK and CA, he became a Superintendent for Dalrymple Construction in Elmira during the late 60's. From 1972 – 1986, he was co-owner of J& L Service in Dundee with his brother John. Also in 1972 he formed Dave Perry Excavation, of Rock Stream, NY which he operated until becoming too ill to work in 2011.
A very independent self motivated person, and borderline workaholic, Dave loved wheeling and dealing, was an Amsoil Distributor; and dreamed of retiring on his sod farm in Montana, unfortunately that like getting his pilots license will remain as one of his dreams.
