Mark T. Hazleton
Myrtle Beach, S.C.: Mark T. Hazleton, age 51, of Myrtle Beach, SC, originally of Poughkeepsie, NY lost his long fight with cancer on Tuesday December 23, 2014 with family at his side in Conway Medical Center, Conway, SC.
Honoring his wishes there are no calling hours. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family on a date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be appreciated.
Mark was born May 11, 1963 in Rhinebeck, NY, the son of the late John A. and former Betty Rutbell Hazleton. He attended Spackenkill Schools, and studied Criminal Justice in College. A successful entrepreneur he was the founder of the former Hazleton Drywall Co. in Poughkeepsie; before moving to Myrtle Beach in 1993 and founding Jacks Drywall. On May 14, 1994 on the Inter Coastal Waterway in S.C. he married the former Jacquelyn D. Diamond of Poughkeepsie. Together they worked and raised two wonderful children. In 2008 Mark realized a life long dream of becoming a "Bounty Hunter" earning his license and forming Coastal Bail Bonds, currently in Conway, SC.
A member of the Bail Bonds Assoc. and a former member of Northern Dutchess Rod & Gun Club in Rhinebeck, NY. Always a hard worker, when he had spare time, in younger years, he loved the outdoors, be it riding dirt bikes; racing High Performance Go Karts; fishing, especially salt water fishing on his boat, or sitting patiently in a tree stand hunting whitetails. Later in life, he loved family time, shopping trips and vacations, fine dining and always allowed the kids to bring friends. The life of the party, he worked hard and played hard. He enjoyed changing vehicles, dealing in real estate, shopping for shoes, and he really did "like dogs".
He is loved and will be forever missed by his wife of 20 years Jackie D. Hazleton; a daughter Carly F. (fiancé Josh Campbell) Hazleton of Charleston, S.C, a son Christopher T. Hazleton at home; as well as his mother Betty L. Hazleton of Myrtle Beach; 3 brothers Lee P. (Lisa) Hazleton of Staatsburg, NY, David K. Hazleton of Asheville, NC, Scott C. Hazleton of Myrtle Beach; a sister Debbie (Pat) Dionne of Paisley, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews; his brothers from other mothers, Craig & Brian Altman, Robert Krakower, and Baird Booth, and countless friends in law enforcement and the Bond business.
He was pre-deceased by his father John A. Hazleton 1998.
