May you rest easy Charlie.
Getting to know you at the VA was an honor sir (I know you would say "Don't call me sir! I worked for a living!").
Your many stories, anecdotes and all you shared with me will be remembered for years to come. I'll "keep them in my book!" as you referred to your memory and refer to them often. I enjoyed visiting with you and helping you out.
You told me "I trust you Mark, you have always been very honest with me. You talk with me as though I am a true human being and I couldn't ask for a better buddy than that!!" To which I replied "You deserve nothing less Charlie. You know what? You're alright yourself, for a fellow trucker!" You would always laugh at that as it was the line you often used on me, (that I borrowed from your "book").
I'll miss you buddy and will celebrate your 90th birthday, in two days, down here while you chew on a cigar up there. Thank you for being such a dear friend & trusting me Charlie Curran.
