Obituary of Priscilla J. Galek

Priscilla J. Galek Dundee: Priscilla J. Galek, age 70, of Dundee, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday April 2, 2015 at Schuyler Hospital, in Montour Falls, N.Y. There are no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday (Apr. 26) at the Tyrone United Methodist Church, Church St. Tyrone, NY with Rev. Patricia Brown officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Tyrone United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1, Tyrone, NY 14887. Priscilla was born October 29, 1944 in Elmira, NY, one of 3 daughters of the late Henry and Madeline Miller Jones. On June 6, 1964 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, in Bradford, NY she married the late John S. Galek, who passed away on July 25, 2005. Priscilla loved Jesus, and attended the Tyrone Methodist Church. Her favorite color was yellow; she enjoyed gardening, and quilting, and writing poetry. Her proudest accomplishments were having two songs that she wrote copy written, and several poems published. A loving mother and wife, she will be dearly missed by her son John S. Galek II at home; 4 daughters, Jane M. Galek of Alpine, NY, Cindy A. Galek at home, Josephine P. Galek of Canandaigua, Priscilla M. (Michael) Rodriguez of East Rochester; 10 grandchildren Rowanne Hill, Delilah Biddle, Haley Biddle, Sadie Biddle, Thomas Kennedy, Kalaya Rodriguez, Sarah Rodriguez, Ezekiel Rodriguez, Zoey Rodriguez, and Mayah Rodriguez; a great granddaughter Lilith Hill; a sister Berdena Staurowsky of Geneva; and several nieces and nephews.
