Alison M. Hall
Dundee: Alison M. Hall, age 100, of Dundee, NY died Tuesday April 21, 2015 in the comfort of her home.
Honoring her wishes there are no calling hours, or services. Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Dundee, NY.

Alison was born August 28, 1914 in Plymouth, England, one of identical twin daughters of Ernest Frederick and Leta Carson Dawson. In 1937 in Quetta, India she married the late Col. Francis Wyndham A. Butterworth who was killed in action during WWII on Nov. 2, 1944. In 1948, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada she married the late Robert C. Hall, who passed away on July 14, 1984.
Having been a world traveller as well as living in many different countries; Mrs. Hall has lived locally since 1985, previously of Green Valley, AZ. Having attended the Dundee Presbyterian Church for many years, and was a member of the Red Hat Society, The Dundee Library Womens Study Club, and the Penn Yan Arts Council. She enjoyed playing Bridge as a member of the Penn Yan Ladies of the Moose, and was the oldest MINI Cooper enthusiast in the United States, and member of Whine Country Coopers MINI Car Club.
In her spare time she enjoyed painting, and had many pieces of her artwork displayed in area wineries. She was a life-long golfer; and loved omelets, having 1487 since March 24, 2011. She celebrated her 100th Birthday with "The MINI Cheese Omelet Adventure" a road rally which concluded at the Classic Café Dundee, NY with Cheese Omelets for all.
She is loved and will be dearly missed by 2 daughters Marilyn (Jim) Reid of Ontario, Canada, and Beverly (Gordon) Watson of Burlington, VT; 8 grandchildren Alison M. (John) Emmons of West Grove, PA, Craig S. Nelson with whom she loved sharing her home, Kent B. (Janelle) Nelson of Harrisburg, PA, Michael (Fiona) Thompson, Mark Thompson, and Mary Thompson all of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Alexandra (Sam) Kenna of Boston, Mass., Lindsay (John) Lochheim of Charlotte, VT; 10 great grandchildren; a niece Valerie Podesta of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and 2 nephews Jeremy (Sarah) Nicholson of Wendover, England, and Peter (Carol) Nicholson of Ringwood, England. She will be especially missed by her ever faithful dog Sam.
Besides her husbands she was pre-deceased by her twin sister Leta Nicholson in 2006, her daughter Alison M. Nelson in 2008, and her son Derry Hall in 2010.
