Ralph N. Paddock Dundee/Frostproof FL: Ralph N. Paddock, age 84, most recently of Dundee, formerly of Frostproof FL, died Tuesday December 8, 2015 at Cayuga Medical Center, in Ithaca, NY. Friends are invited to calling hours from 10:00 to 12:00 noon Saturday (Dec. 12) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where his funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. Memorial contributions may be made to Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837 or to the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Road North, Rochester, NY 14609-5896. Ralph was born August 17, 1931 in the town of Starkey, NY, a son of the late Olin E. and Anna Laura Fultz Paddock. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. On December 3, 1955 in Dundee, NY he married the former Dolores L. Barr. He was employed by NYSEG, in Dresden, NY as a Power Plant Technician for 31 years, retiring in 1987. Mr. Paddock was a member of 4H in his youth, the Dundee American Legion and then Avon Park, FL American Legion; and was a Life Member of the Avon Park VFW. He was an avid RV'er and former member of the Jayco Camper Club, he enjoyed boating, water skiing, deer hunting, and bowling. He loved wine and beer making, and was a real handy man, a "Go to/fix it Guy". He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years Dolores B. Paddock at home; twin daughters Karen M. (Tom) Kennedy of Weston, NY, and Sharon L. (Jeff) Ripson of Youngstown, NY; a son Ralph W.(Jacqueline) Paddock of Ellicottville, NY; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 5 sisters Evelyn (Claude Pulver) Jayne, Mary Lou Webster both of Dundee, Nancy (Robert) Briggs of Venice, FL, Jane (Raymond) Miller of Dundee, and Bettyann Hansen of Venice, FL; a brother Jim (Cindy) Paddock of Dundee; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was pre-deceased by a sister Eleanor "Mert" Thompson; and 2 brothers George Paddock, and Richard "Dick" "JR" Paddock. Online condolences can be sent by visiting www.bairdfuneralhomedundee.com.
