Obituary of Charles Roy Budd Jr.

Charles Roy Budd Jr. Dundee: Charles Roy Budd Jr., age 81, of Dundee, NY passed away on Friday December 11, 2015 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, in Penn Yan, NY, surrounded by his loving family. Friends are invited to calling hours from 4:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday (Dec. 15) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where his funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday (Dec. 16) with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Road North, Rochester, NY 14609-5896, or to the charity of Donor's choice. "CR" as he was affectionately known was born September 18, 1934 in Newton, NJ, the son of the late Charles R. and Nellie Westbrook Budd Sr. He grew up with his sisters Ann & Aline and, brother Ed going to Stillwater, NJ and Littlestown, PA Schools. He has lived locally since 1967, previously of New Jersey where he was a former member of the Stillwater Township Fire Dept. On August 25, 1974 in Pulteney, New York he married the former Jane C. Snover. Charlie was a Dairy Farmer, Truck Driver, and Owner & Operator of Budd Farms in Himrod, NY. He loved driving his green International tractor trailer and being in business with his son Roy. Farm work was in his heart. He enjoyed spending spring and summer days working the fields. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 41 years Jane C. Budd at home; his 5 children Kim (Ron) Shuster of Springhill, FL, Lyn (Bryan) Shellhammer of Palmerton, PA, Lee (Jerry) Joslyn of Penn Yan, NY, Roy Budd of Dundee, Tod Budd of Saylorsburg, PA; 4 step children Sandy (Dan) Hamilton of Avoca, NY, Deb (Larry) Brooks of Altay, NY, Gene (Rebecca) Chammings of Stillwater, NJ, Cindy (Bill) Brown of Hammondsport, NY; He will be remembered and always loved by his 15 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren; and leaves behind his 2 sisters Ann (Clyde) Boreman of Yorkville, IL, and Aline (Ronnie) Hedges of Littlestown, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
