Meryl Anne Frank Penn Yan: Meryl Anne Frank, age 86, of Penn Yan, N.Y. died Wednesday December 30, 2015 at The Homestead, in Penn Yan, N.Y. Honoring her wishes there will be no calling yours. She will be buried at 11:00 am Monday January 4, 2016 in Lakeview Cemetery, in Penn Yan. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society Of Yates County Shelter of Hope, P.O. Box 12, Penn Yan, NY 14527. Meryl was born December 3, 1929 in Hackensack, New Jersey, the daughter of the late John Christian and Henrietta Anne Angelbeck Frank. She received the degree of Bachelor of Arts at the commencement exercises at Keuka College on June 18, 1951. During her college career Miss Frank, an English-speech major, had been active in both dramatics and publications work. She was feature editor of Keukonian, campus weekly newspaper; poetry editor of Red jacket, campus literary magazine; and president of Arion Dramatic Society and Alpha Psi Omega, national dramatic honor society on campus. She was also a member of Pi Delta Epsilon, national journalism fraternity on campus. She worked in the banking business for several years in Rochester, retiring in 1981 so she could help care for her parents. Having never married she was loved and will be missed by her dear friends Tim & Dawn Smith of Penn Yan, and the staff and residents of The Homestead.
