When I married into the family across the street from Bardie and Ed, I was told of the wonderful neighbors they had. I found that out when Bardie welcomed me into their home and over the years watched as our family grew. I'm so glad that our two sons knew Bardie and Ed and they learned from them that hospitality and generosity are prized attributes. Their community support is extraordinary and their love for the Lord and their family is boundless. Bardie offered many words of counsel, wisdom and encouragement. Thank you, Lord, for blessing this world with her.

I sit in tears with conflicting emotions - sadness for the loss of one of the dearest people we have ever know and that we have not seen in many, many years - yet rejoicing because we KNOW that Bardee is right where she has longed to be for many years - at the feet of Jesus. My husband said it best - you don't often get to walk beside a saint on this earth and with Bardee, we did. She prayed for us before we came to State College to work with Young Life and came to our home every single Monday for almost 9 years to pray with and for us in serving teenagers in State College. She gave like nobody else we had ever known and loved in a way that is so rarely seen...So many many memories. We love you Bardee and pray for Eddie and your family as they share memories and tears. Thank you for loving us and our children Emma and Isaac so very very well... Love in our HOPE - in Whose presence you now kneel and see face to face! Joel, Michele, Emma and Isaac Covert
