David was the light of my life, my one, my only, true love. He was far from perfect, just ask me! He was perfect for me. He will be sorely missed by many; and his early death celebrated by a select few. He was a man with many talents, much grace and even more dignity.
Not many knew of this character trait; he would not allow it; often chiding me when I told others of his deeds. For example, and one of many, he would go out of his way, especially at the holiday season, to help any one in need. He committedly dropped off gifts to the needing customers, always anonymously; often paying their bill or dropping of spare parts. I witnessed this character season after season. Upon moving to the Finger Lakes he “babysat” an elderly gentleman, for greater than a year; he had been suicidal after the loss of his wife of 57 years. David was always there for him at a beckons call.
These are but a few, of the many examples. I will miss this man. I love this man. The world would be a better place with the likes of Dave. It was MY joy.
