Pauline ''Polly'' Strait Dundee: Pauline ''Polly'' Strait, age 48, of Dundee, NY died unexpectedly on Saturday June 24, 2017 at home. Honoring her wishes there are no prior calling hours and services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837, or the Yates County Sheriff's K-9 Fund 227 Main St. Penn Yan, NY 14527. "Polly" was born on her mothers' birthday September 7, 1968 in Penn Yan, N.Y., she was the first daughter of Robert F. and Irene M. {Long} Strait Sr. She graduated from Dundee Central School in 1986, and went on to receive her Associates Degree from Alfred State in 1988. She worked for Schuyler County ARC for 2 years before accepting a position with U.P.S. in Buffalo as a delivery driver. A loyal employee with over 23 years of dedicated service, she was promoted to Supervisor and transferred to Geneva, so she could move home to help and care for her parents. In her spare time she loved being outdoors and enjoyed yard work and maintaining the family home. She will be remembered for her quick wit, unwavering loyalty, and abundant generosity. She is loved and will be forever missed by Mother and Father Irene M. & Robert F. Strait Sr. with whom she made her home; her brother who also shared her birthday Mark J. (Chrissy) Strait of Dundee; her sister Susan B. (Marie) Andersen-Strait of Buffalo, NY; 9 nieces & nephews Michael (Rachelle) Strait and their son the only great nephew Cooper Strait, Cassandra (Jordan Smith) Strait, Bobby & Mackenzie Strait, Thea, Demerick, Marcus, & Emerson Andersen-Strait; her dearest cousin Jessica {Porter} Paquette; and several more cousins. "Polly" was pre-deceased by an older brother Robert "Bobby" F. Strait Jr. in 1967. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee.
