Dundee: Dorothy Mae Wren, age 84, of Dundee, NY died Wednesday July 12, 2017 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Penn Yan, NY. 
There are no prior calling hours.  Friends are invited to a celebration of her life from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday July 17 at the Dundee VFW Pavilion, Seneca St. Extension, Dundee, NY.  Inurnment will be private in Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yan, at the convenience of the family. 
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Yates County, P.O. Box 12, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
Dorothy was born October 9, 1932, a daughter of the late Elmer and Vera {Cheasman} Burley.  She married the late Burton Eugene Wren who passed away in 1999.  She has lived locally all her life, except for a couple of years in Florida after her husband passed away.  Dorothy was employed by Penn Yan School District, as a Bus Driver for many years until her retirement in 1995.  Her family and children were her true love, but her spare time was enjoyed by collecting books and reading.
She is survived and will be missed by her 2 sons Donald R. “Don” Burd of Waterloo, and Elbert Leslie “Les” Burd, and her daughter Judy A. Jones both of Dundee; 3 step children whom she loved as her own, Marjorie (Jim) Multer, Fred Wren, and Charles Wren all of Penn Yan; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was pre-deceased by a son Ronald J. Burd in 2009, 2 daughters in law Jacqueline M. Burd in 1994 and Karleen C. Burd in 2012, and a son-in-law Charles Jones in 2014.
