Gerald A ''Gus'' Fuller Binghamton/Zephyrhills, FL: Gerald A ''Gus'' Fuller, age 90, of Zephyrhills, FL, and Binghamton, NY, passed peacefully in his RV at Seneca Lake on Saturday, September 9, 2017, Gerald was born May 16, 1927 in the Town of Colchester, NY. Gus served in the Navy during World War II aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Kearsarge. He is retired from the Carpenters Union #281 in Binghamton. He also worked in his early career as an upholsterer for Kroehler's Manufacturing in Binghamton. During retirement Gus and Mary traveled the world for many years and settled in Zephyrhills, Florida in the winter and at Seneca Lake for the summers. Gus' greatest love was the Binghamton Boating Club for which he was a member for 52 years. The Club's members were considered family to him. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary; daughters Linda (Richard) Pecka; Vickie Stidger of San Jose, CA; and Cindy Tokos. Grandchildren Kelly (Bill) Diffendorf, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Tanya (Elliott) Nicholson, and Libby Stidger. Great-Grandchildren, Leah and Noah Diffendorf, and Derek Nicholson. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Fuller; sister Mildred Franks and nephew Keith Fuller. A special note of thanks and gratitude for the wonderful care and compassion is extended to Dr. Daniel McGrane of Zephyrhills and Dr. Lisa Walk-Reinard of Penn Yan. Also, a thank you, to Karen Strickland, R.N. of the Ontario-Yates County Hospice. The family will receive guests on Thursday, September 28th from 4 to 5pm. with a Memorial Service immediately following at the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church, 918 Upper Front St., Binghamton, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ontario-Yates County Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456 or to another charity in the memory of Gus.
