Deborah Jean Houck Andrews
Lakemont / Dundee: Deborah J. Andrews, 66, of Lakemont, NY, passed away on October 28, 2017 surrounded by her family in Geneva, New York.
At Deborah's request, there will be no calling hours or services. The family will hold a private celebration of Debbie's life.
Born in Ovid, New York on May 31, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Harry and June (Lathrop) Houck; and a graduate of Dundee Central School Class of 1970. On August 14, 1971, she was married to Earl J. Andrews. Deborah was employed at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home for 30 years and provided care and love to many residents. Deborah has enjoyed the last 10 years of her retirement caring for her husband and grandchildren. "Grammy" has imposed many things upon her family that they will cherish forever.
She is survived, and will be deeply missed, by her husband of 47 years, Earl J. Andrews, her son Shawn (Keeley) Andrews; her daughter Stephanie (Jason) Herrick; her four granddaughters Kayla, Hayley, Hannah and Paislee all of Dundee, NY; and her two sisters, Darlene Hunter and Donna Telech.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union Street, Dundee, NY 14837.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Lifetime Care, the Dundee Fire Company First Responders and the nurses and physicians at Geneva General Hospital.
