Obituary of Roy E. de la Fuente

Roy E. de la Fuente Dundee: Roy E. de la Fuente, age 73, of Dundee, died peacefully Monday May 14, 2012 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, in Penn Yan. Honoring his wishes there were no calling hours; funeral services were privately held for the family. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor's choice. Roy was born June 9, 1938 in Spain; the son of the late Frederico and Maria Morales-Bermudez de la Fuente. He was raised in Lima, Peru and moved to the U.S. in 1962. On November 12, 1966 in Waldwick, NJ he married the former Carol L. Den Hollander. They have lived locally since 1984, previously of Franklin Lakes, N.J. Mr. de la Fuente was an electrician, employed by Artistic Greetings Inc., of Elmira, NY, retiring in 2000. He attended the former St. Andrews Catholic Church in Dundee, and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Carol L. de la Fuente at home; 2 daughters Kara (Rick) Sherman of Penn Yan, Elena de la Fuente of Portland, OR; twin granddaughters Anessa and Cassandra Sherman of Penn Yan; a brother Patrick (Julia) de la Fuente of Dundee; and several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
