Montour Falls/Hammondsport: Winifred A. Seybolt, age 87, of Montour Falls, NY died Sunday March 11, 2018 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility, in Montour Falls, NY.

There will be no prior calling hours. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday April 22, 2018 at the Altay Baptist Church, with Rev. Evelyn Emerson officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Altay Baptist Church, Altay, NY 14837 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd. Rochester, NY 14620.

Winifred was born August 18, 1930 in Bath, NY, the daughter of the late Paul and Cassie {Yawger} Lyle. She graduated from Dundee Central School in 1948. On Oct. 19, 1950 in the Altay Baptist Church she married the late George O. Seybolt; who passed away on May 13, 2009. A life-long area resident, she worked for Ray Dann Sr.'s Super Duper from 1955 until 1965, when she accepted a position from Doug Giles in the meat cutting department of Giles Family Store, where she worked until her retirement in 1975.

Mrs. Seybolt was a member of Altay Baptist Church; and was a former Sunday School Teacher, and Trustee of the church. She was a former member of the Tyrone Chapter # 612 Order of The Eastern Star, and had served on the Schuyler County Election Board. In her spare time, she enjoyed Crochet, knitting, and cooking.

She loved and will be forever missed by her 3 daughters Pamela J. (Marvin) Switzer of Rock Stream, Wendy M. (John) Schoonover of Wellsville, NY, Lynette (Timothy) Bauer of Hammondsport, NY; 4 grandchildren Wesley (Angela) Bauer, Seth Bauer, Jason Switzer, Jamie (Kevin) Rumsey; 4 great grandchildren; 3 brothers James Lyle of Dundee, Jack (Gail) Lyle of Bath, Roland (Suekey) Lyle of Canandaigua; 2 sisters Naomi DeCamp of Bath, Wanda (Jim) Penna of Hammondsport; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother Richard Lyle in 2005, and 3 sisters Melissy Jean Lyle in 2010, Mary Schroeder in 2011, and Atha-Lee Dencenburg in 2017.
