Penn Yan: Christopher J. "Corn Bread" Newell, age 32, of Penn Yan, NY died unexpectedly Friday June 8, 2018 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Penn Yan, NY.

There are no prior calling hours. A Celebration of His Life will be held from 6:00 till 8:00 pm Thursday, June 14th at the Penn Yan Fireman's Field.

Christopher was born October 20, 1985 the son of James A. McClain and Lori C. Newell. Besides his parents, he is survived by 4 daughters, Daelynn, Nikki, Breonna, and Malaysia; 2 sisters, Nicole L. Parmelee of Florida, Courtney L. Parmelee/Mothershed of Alabama; 1 brother, Thomas A. Johns of NY; grandparents, Larry and Judy Newell of NY; 4 uncles, Larry Newell, Jon Newell, Jeffery McClain, John McClain; 2 aunts, Pamela Newell/Hicks, Julie McClain; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Harry "Mojo" McClain.

Christopher loved dogs, and loved training them; he Loved children, music, and singing, he was constantly singing. Christopher had a heart of gold, so many people loved him. To all his friends he was known as "CORN BREAD"
