Gerald Thomas ''Gerry'' Krebs Horseheads/Dundee: Gerald Thomas ''Gerry'' Krebs, age 82, of Horseheads, NY died peacefully with his wife by his side on Tuesday March 26, 2019 at Elcor Nursing Home, in Horseheads, NY. Honoring his wishes there are no calling hours. A private entombment in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum in Corning, NY will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tyrone Fire Dept. P.O. Box 69 Tyrone, NY 14887. Gerald was born March 6, 1937 in Corning, NY, the son of the late James Griffin and Clara Irene {Hemly} Krebs. A lifelong area resident, as a youth he worked at his parents' Krebs Grocery in Weston. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1957. After graduation he started his machinist career at Clarks Specialty in Hammondsport retiring after 37 years in 1994. On Feb. 17, 1979 in Weston, NY he married the former Patricia E. Colegrove. "Gerry" attended St. Vincent Church in Corning, was a Life Member of the Tyrone Fire Dept.; and had belonged to several bowling leagues. He enjoyed Antique Cars, especially Lincolns. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife Patricia E. Krebs of Horseheads, 3 sons Ronnie E. (Sandy) Colgrove of Mesa, AZ, Duane R. (Carla) Ellison of Dundee, James J. (Missy) Ellison of Painted Post, 6 grandchildren Ronnie Colgrove, Jr., Jennifer Colgrove, Michael (Heather) Cleveland, Steven, Nikki, and James Ryan Ellison; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
