Alfred C. ''Al'' Morse Jr.
Rock Stream: Alfred C. ''Al'' Morse Jr., age 79, of Rock Stream, NY died accidently Saturday May 18, 2019 on his property.
The family will receive friends at a Celebration of His Life, starting at 4:00 p.m. Sunday May 26 at the Dundee American Legion, 10 Spring St., Dundee, NY; where a Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. followed by a fellowship meal.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America 8201 Corporate Dr., Suite 1000 Landover, MD 20785; or to the Church of Infinite Spirit 251 Schuyler Ave. Elmira, NY 14904.
Al was born April 8, 1940 in Penn Yan, NY, the son of the late Alfred C. and Ruth {Fenton} Morse. A lifelong area resident, he was a "Jack of all Trades" having worked in construction, and logging; but was currently a self-employed Beef Cattle Farmer in Rock Stream. Mr. Morse was a board member and Vice President of the Church of Infinite Spirit. A strong willed and minded man who told it like it was; he loved to tinker and fix anything that was broke. He cherished his grandchildren, and every moment he spent with them. His passion for life and conservation kept him busy on his farm, and gave him great pleasure in his hobby of beekeeping.
He is loved and will be dearly missed by his devoted companion of over 15 years Mary T. Roche with whom he shared his home; a son Norman L. Morse of Erin, NY; grandchildren Keagan A. Morse of Elmira, Kirsten A. (Armon) Frankel of Calcium, NY, Kolton A. Morse of Elmira; ex Daughter-In-Law Loved as a daughter Cynthia S. (Jeffrey) Monroe of Elmira, Mary's children and grandchildren, daughter Christine Williams of Rochester, and sons, Patrick (Katie) Roche of Scotia, NY, and Paul (Kelli) Roche of Albany, NY , 2 sisters Lucretia West, and Marilyn Wilson; along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by a son George Morse, a granddaughter Kaylah A. Morse, and a sister Patricia Morse.
