Karen S. Davenport Dundee: Karen S. Davenport, age 59, of Dundee, NY passed away on Monday September 16, 2019 in the comfort of her home with her family at her side. Honoring the family's wishes there will be no prior calling hours. A Celebration of Her life will be held at the convenience of the family on a date to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837. Karen was born January 3, 1960 in Penn Yan, NY, daughter of the late Leon E. "Chub" and Bernice Emma {Phillips} Woodard Jr. She graduated from Dundee Central School in 1978. On Apr. 22, 1978 in Dundee, NY she married Reginald L. Davenport. A lifelong area resident, Karen was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She became a Methodist Pastor after raising her family, and had been the Pastor of the former Starkey Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting anything that was in a series; but her happiest times were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren; and she was so excited and wishing to be able to welcome her newest granddaughter and first born child of her son. She is loved and will be deeply missed by her husband of 41 years "Reggie" L. Davenport at home; daughter Shawn C. (Rodney) Cole of Dundee; son Ryan L. (Rebecca) Davenport of Penn Yan, 5 grandchildren Preston, Lacy, and Myah Cole, Hannah and Nathan Fitzwater; her sister Kathy S. Woodard of Canandaigua, NY; her twin brother Keith E. (Agnes) Woodard, Sr. of Dundee, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was pre-deceased by a grandson Dominic Cole in 2009, and a brother in law Russel L.
