Geraldine Elsie Shaul Watkins Glen: Geraldine "Gerry" Elsie Shaul, age 85, of Watkins Glen, NY passed away peacefully Sunday December 29, 2019 in the comfort of her home. There are no prior calling hours. A Celebration of her Life will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 pm Sunday Jan. 5, 2020 at the Mechanics Club 237 W. Main St. Montour Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to CareFirst, 3805 Meads Creek Rd., Corning, NY 14870. Geraldine was born September 22, 1934 in Asylum, PA, the daughter of the late Rufus Stanton and Elsie {Sites} Hoyt Sr. On Dec. 12, 1953 in Elmira, NY she married the late Earl William Shaul who passed away on Feb. 3, 1988. A homemaker all her life, and vineyard worker in her younger years, "Gerry" as she was known by her friends, was a member of the Watkins Glen Methodist Church; loved to crochet, and garden. She is loved and will be dearly missed by a son Ervin E. (Linda) Shaul of North Carolina; 2 daughters Bonny L. (Russell) Fuller of Titusville, FL, and Peggy A. (Bill) Hamelin of Odessa; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a brother Raymond (Donna) Hoyt of Ithaca, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her 8 month old infant son Earl W. Shaul; and 2 brothers Rufus S. Hoyt Jr. and Eugene Hoyt.
