Obituary of Gail K. Egburtson

Gail K. Egburtson Himrod: Gail K. Egburtson, age 61, of Himrod, NY passed away on Wednesday January 6, 2021 in the comfort of her home. There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Her Life, and Graveside Committal Service will be held at the convenience of the family on a date to be announced in the future. Inurnment will be in Grove Mount Cemetery in Himrod. Gail was born January 21, 1959 in Penn Yan, NY, one of 5 daughters of the late Leland F. and Ruth W. {Pinneo} Knapton. She graduated from Dundee Central School in 1977. On Valentine's Day 1981, in Penn Yan, NY she married David L. Egburtson. A life-long area resident she was a stay at home wife, mother and loving grandmother. She was a member of the Barrington Community Church, enjoyed cooking, crafts, and sewing. But she was happiest when she was spending time with her family, spoiling her grandchildren, and saving every prized creation they gave to her. She is dearly loved and will be forever missed by her husband of almost 40 years, David L. Egburtson at home; 2 sons Michael L. (Jacy) Egburtson of Dundee, Jeffrie D. (Alison Bates) Egburtson of Fairport, NY, 5 grandchildren, Colin, Ryan, Abigail, Nathan & Bennett; 2 brothers Richard (Bill Felton) Knapton of Rochester, NY, Jack (Pam) Knapton of Kansas City, MO; 3 sisters Patricia (Steve Ostrander) Pellett of Himrod, Sally (Gary) Griffin of Penn Yan, Nancy Harrison of Himrod; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother Bruce Knapton, a sister Debra Bennett.
