Mr. Carlyon was my 4th grade teacher at DCS. He used to bring in popcorn on Mondays and we all would have a napkin with a scoop of popcorn on the corner of our desk while we wrote out our new spelling words for the week. On Friday he would pop popcorn just prior to our spelling test and I remember the entire hall of the school took on the aroma. As we would take our Spelling Test for the week Mr. Carlyon would come around and put a scoop of fresh popcorn on the napkins on our desk. We were all very good spellers. :) He will be missed by many. Love, Lisa Spas Eldridge
