Obituary of Clark G. Hoose Sr.

Clark G. Hoose Sr. Dundee: Clark G. Hoose Sr., age 76, of Dundee, NY passed away on Thursday February 25, 2021 in the comfort of his home. There will be no prior calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family on a date to be announced when the weather permits in City Hill Cemetery, City Hill Rd., Penn Yan, NY. Memorial contributions would be greatly appreciated by The Family, and may be directed to the funeral home. Clark was born Nov. 30, 1944 in Penn Yan, NY, the son of the late Durwood J. and Katherine E. (Swarthout) Hoose. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1963. He retired in 2007 after 42 years as a Welder and Boiler maker for International Salt, in Watkins Glen, NY. He married his loving companion of 33 years Laurie A. Kriegar-Westfall on January 1, 2021. Mr. Hoose was a member of the Bluff Point Methodist Church, a former member of the Penn Yan Moose Lodge. Throughout his life he enjoyed collecting everything people saw no value in. His mission in life was providing for his family. In his younger years he loved fishing and hunting. He will be dearly missed by his wife Laurie A. Hoose at home; 3 sons, Clark G. (Tammy) Hoose Jr., and Shawn M. Hoose both of Penn Yan, Brandon Clark (Linda) Hoose of Dundee; 6 daughters Shannon D. (Tim Westfall) Hoose of Dundee, Tonya M. Burleigh, and Melissa L. Burleigh both of Penn Yan, Natasha L. Hoose of Pennsylvania, Katie L. (Zack) DeCook of Newark, NY, Ashley L. Hoose of Penn Yan; 4 step children who he loved as his own, Kimberley Westfall of Lyons, Michael (Nicole) Westfall of Waterloo, Christina (James) Granger, and Nichole Westfall both of Penn Yan; a brother Smith C. Hoose of Penn Yan; 3 sisters Victoria Mae Keen of Penfield, Susan R. Hoose of Branchport, and Ethel M. Hoose of Penn Yan; 28 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
