Frank A. Schotkowski Bloom Dundee: Frank A. Schotkowski Bloom, age 91, passed away April 6, 2021 at Soldiers & Sailors Hospital, Penn Yan, NY. Frank was born December 17, 1929 in Savona, NY, the son of George and Anna (Gorzalka) Schotkowski. After George's passing, Anna remarried Stanley Kwiatkowski Bloom, Frank's stepfather. Frank attended Savona Central School and graduated from Dundee Central School in 1947. He bought the farm in 1952 located in the Town of Barrington, Dundee, where he and Joyce called home for 66 years and raised their family. Frank married the love of his life, Joyce Ann "Juice" Fultz on April 16, 1955. They had five children. Frank possessed many talents and trades including general farming, dairy farming, pole barn construction, school bus driver, Bloom Farm Supply dairy farm equipment sales, and Bloom Real Estate broker. He loved the outdoors and was most happy on a tractor farming, working the fields or in the shop working on equipment. He won the State level tractor plowing competition in 1955. He enjoyed bowling, scoring a high game of 297 in the 1994-95 season, and was often seen competing on TV. He taught us how to live, work hard, and take time to play – spend time with family. Family time was special to him. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife, Joyce A. Bloom and his children: Katherine Walters, of Phelps, Susan Snyder (David Hyer), of Alpine, Patricia Ely (Edward Deutsch), Frank Michael Bloom (Barbara Lusk), and Steve Bloom (Chris), all of Dundee; Eleven grandchildren Jeremy (Patty) McCarley, Robert (Leah) McCarley, Matthew (Aly) Walters, David (Marci) Dykes, Daniel (Jodi) Dykes, Jonathon Ely, Brenda Willmes (Andy), Brandis Checho (Steve), Cierra, Shane, and Sydney Bloom and eleven great-grandchildren Jeremy McCarley, Jr., Violet and Hannah McCarley, Chase and Lynnel Walters, Gillian and Colby Dykes, Quinn and Britton Willmes, Alex Parker, Jaxsen Checho and his kitty, Cuddles. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his half-brother, Joseph Schotkowski. Honoring his wishes, there will be no calling hours or public service. A private graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Dundee, on April 9, 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837.
