Stephen James Walker Clearwater, FL Rochester, NY, Penn Yan, NY: Stephen James Walker, age 66, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Monroe County, NY died April 18th, 2021 at Season's Hospice Service in Largo, FL. Honoring his wishes there are no prior calling hours. Friends are invited to a Celebration of His Life at 2:00 pm Sunday (May 23) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee, NY. Inurnment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, in Penn Yan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Steve was born August 24, 1954 in Rochester, NY, the son of the late James Mitchell and Barbara Jean {Long} Walker. He graduated from the Rochester School District in 1972. After graduating Steve worked at the Rio Bamba Restaurant in Rochester for many years. Steve was a former owner of the Merry Go Round Restaurant and Market in Branchport, NY. Prior to his retirement Steve worked for the University of Rochester as a courier for their lab services department. Steve was an avid golfer and connoisseur of fine food. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his daughter Megan R. (Andrew) Scheg of Oswego, NY; son Jarrett K. Metzger of Rochester, NY; granddaughter Jade Scheg; Nieces Rachel Antoniou and Jessica Walker. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Bruce (1979) and Mark (2007).
