Cohocton/Penn Yan: Timothy M. "Tim" Strong, age 53, of Cohocton, NY passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 8, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester, NY.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Association starting at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday May 22, 2021
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Penn Yan Youth Lacrosse P.O. Box 374 Penn Yan, NY 14527.
Tim was born on May 5, 1968 in Canandaigua N.Y. He grew up on a pig farm in Penn Yan graduating from Penn Yan Central School in 1986. Tim was the proud business owner of IBS Builders for over 25 years. Some of Tim's proudest moments with IBS were donating their services in benefiting the Penn Yan Community. As an individual, he volunteered throughout the entire community. Tim loved his time as a youth lacrosse coach for several years, he volunteered at the Yates County Fair, or he could be found barbequing at the Seneca Lake Duck Hunter's Association. Most of all he LOVED his Steelers.
He is survived by his loving wife Denelle; his pride and joy children Mckala and Nick Strong of Penn Yan; step son Jacob Taylor of Cohocton; mother Darleen Strong House; step father Pat House. brother Jarrod (Lyn) Strong; step siblings Shawn House and Michelle (Larry) Pfeiffer; brothers in law Darrell (Erica) Button; Doug (Colleen) Button, and Dana (Sarah) Button; sister in law Darla McMahon; in law's Arlan and Carol Button; special aunt Joan, special uncle Gary; along with many other loved aunts and uncles; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Tim was predeceased by his brother Lance, and father Lysle, and special uncle Steve.
