Pastor Cynthia Hill Chidsey Beaver Dams: Pastor Cynthia Hill Chidsey, age 66, of Beaver Dams, N.Y., previously of Waneta Lake, died unexpectedly on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, N.Y. There are no prior calling hours. A memorial service with reception following will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, at the Tyrone United Methodist Church, Tyrone, N.Y. Burial will be in the Bath National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beaver Dams United Methodist Church P.O. Box 516 Beaver Dams, NY 14812. Cynthia was born July 22, 1946 in Bernardsville, N.J., the daughter of the late George R. and Jane E. Thatcher Hill. She attended Rutgers University in N.J. where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Most recently Cindy continued her love of learning by attending Asbury Theological Seminary where she was pursuing her Masters Degree in Theology. She has lived locally since 1987, moving from Bellmawr, N.J. to Dundee, N.Y. Mrs. Chidsey was President of the Dundee Rotary Club from 1995-96, and was very active in the Annual Rotary Shows. As a former owner of Dundee Lanes Cindy painstakingly restored it to become a central gathering place for the members of the community she loved. After leaving the Lanes she and her husband, "Sarge", began a venture with Mugshots, a t-shirt business at The Windmill where they operated for many seasons. Cindy was devoted to providing support to the people in her community no matter where she lived, acting most recently as the current Pastor of the Beaver Dams United Methodist Church in Beaver Dams, N.Y. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her daughter Kimberley A. Boisen (nee Coklyat), her husband Hans, and 3 grandchildren: Samantha L., Bradley R., and Zachary D. Boisen all of Rome, N.Y.; 2 brothers: Richard and Patricia Hill of Hopatcong, N.J., and James and Kitt Allen Hill of Jersey City, N.J., along with several nieces, nephews, and step children whom she loved as her own. She was predeceased by her second husband Bruce W. "Sarge" Chidsey on March 14, 2006. Arrangements are entrusted to the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee, N.Y.
