Obituary of Mary Rose

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary Rose Glenora / Dundee: Mary Rose, Mary Rose of Glenora, NY, died too soon on March 16, 2022. She was 71. Born in Elmira to S. Roberts Rose and Nancy Tripp Rose, she grew up with her siblings Stephen, Frank "Turk" and Harriet, who remained close to her heart always. A long-time resident of Riverton, NJ where she raised her sons Mason (Julia), Adam and Stephen (Sarah). She was a champion for her 11 grandchildren (Lillian, Georgia, Ruby, Mason II, McAllister, Aiden, Dylan, Noah, Noble, Serafina, Elijah); she was their friend and mentor. She will remain in the hearts of so many family members and friends. Well-loved and widely respected, a defender of Seneca lake, believer and participant in volunteer citizen science. Her curiosity and interest of the world, its people and history called her to travel broadly with an adventurous spirit found throughout her family. Active community member, she gave her time and energy generously to civic and non-profit organizations close to her heart. Mary did the work many only talk about, with drive, determination and compassion, making us proud, and she will continue to be an inspiration. A celebration of her life will take place later this year in Glenora. In lieu of flowers, do what you can, donate to your local food bank, library, environmental group. Volunteer and get involved. We love you, Mary. Arrangements entrusted to the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee, NY; online condolences and memories can be shared with the family by visiting www.bairdfuneralhomedundee.com.
