Obituary of Gail G. Eyer

Gail G. Eyer Dundee: Gail G. Eyer, age 85, of Dundee, NY died Tuesday June 14, 2022 at F. F. Thompson Memorial Hospital, in Canandaigua, N.Y.. Honoring her wishes there are no prior calling hours. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Gail was born September 27, 1936 in Rochester, NY, the daughter of the late G. Dwight and Dorothy (Fillingham) Greenfield. She graduated from Brighton High School, and attended Cornell University before transferring to the University of Rochester where she earned her B.S. Degree in General Studies. On Sept. 10, 1960 in Rochester, she married the late Dr. James A. Eyer; who passed away on Aug. 25, 2013. They have lived locally for over 60 years, having resided in Arizona part time in the 1970's Mrs. Eyer was very active in several organizations, including the Dundee Library Woman's Study Club, the local Chapter of A.A.U.W, (American Assoc. of University Women) and the Arts Center of Yates County. Gail had a lifelong interest in crossword puzzles, murder mysteries, bridge, cooking and sailing. She traveled extensively internationally. Gail, for years, created many wooden objects that were sold at craft shows as well as her booth at the Windmill. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her only son Daniel J. Eyer of Somerville, MA; and many friends from over the years. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee.
