Obituary of Tomas B. Lathrop

Tomas B. "Tom" Lathrop Dundee: Tomas Bates Lathrop, born February 10, 1958 in Santiago, Chile to the late Jaime & Mary Lou Bates Lathrop, passed away peacefully at the age of 64 in the comfort of his home, on Wednesday August 3, 2022, with his girlfriend "Jen" and his brother Paul at his side. 'Tom' as he was known by his closest friends was an Industrial Electrician, for Vergason Technology Inc. in Van Ettan, NY. Just three days before his death, while battling cancer, he was happy riding his Ninja. Neither age nor disease could curb his insatiable love of riding motorcycles. He was a true family man, who enjoyed tending his garden and lawn, and was always willing and available to lend a helping hand. He leaves behind his 2 sons, Thomas Joseph 'TJ' (Taffney) Lathrop of Charlotte, N.C., and Alexander P. 'Alex' (Amanda) Lathrop of Sarasota, FL.; 2 grandchildren Elliot & Hayes Lathrop of Charlotte, NC.; 2 brothers, Jaime Lathrop of Brooklyn, NY, and Paul Lathrop of Portland, OR; sisters Mary Lathrop of Santiago, Chile, and Nancy Webb of Connecticut; nephews, Cristobal Pomes Lathrop, Jaime 'Spencer' Lathrop, Trevor Webb & Connor Webb; nieces Francisca Pomes Lathrop, and Chloe Lathrop; and his best friend and loving mate Jeanette 'Jen' Ringsmuth with whom he made his home. His friends were too many to mention, but it is a great testament to his love of others, from so many paying their respects and wishing to celebrate his life.
