Ronald C. ''Ron'' Percy Dundee: Ronald C. ''Ron'' Percy, age 78, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2023 in the comfort of the Keuka Comfort Care Home, in Penn Yan, New York Ron was born on November 30, 1944 at Williamsport, Pennsylvania. His family moved to the Dundee area in 1950. He graduated from Dundee Central School Class of 1963. On July 25, 1964 he married his wife, Bonnie Perry and they celebrated 58 years of marriage. He started his career during his senior year of school by working at Faye Van Skiver Studebaker Garage. Then went to work for Mulray Boats in Lakemont making ice boats. In the fall of 1963, he went to work at Shepard Niles Crane & Hoist Corporation in Montour Falls in the shipping department (member of the Local 1765 Machinist & Aerospace for 10 years) then was promoted to foreman to supervise nine departments. He retired after 37 ½ years. Ron took training for small engine repair and diesel school. Was a member of the Starkey Methodist Church (now the Dundee Methodist Church). Started his volunteers firemen's career as member of the Hunter Hook and Ladder Company in Penn Yan then as member of Dundee Fire Department for over 55 years (Fire Chief in 1975-1976 ), Dundee Benevolent Association, former member of the Dundee Ambulance Squad, member of the former Dundee Moonshiners Camping Club, National Campers and Hikers Association and Dundee Auxiliary Police. Family members to survive him are sister-in-law Doris Kelly and her children, Michael (Donna), Patrick (Janet), Timothy (Sandy) Kelly, Lynette (Patrick) Paradiso a special niece, Roger & Gerald Gavigan, Patti (Kevin) Sullivan, Susan Lisa, Sharon Hoag, Sonia Pearl, Grant Perry, Donna (Robert) Anderson, William (Anita), Robert (Beth), & Kenneth Perry, and his beloved dachshund 'Jennie Lynn'. Predeceased by his parents, and brother, several brother & sister-in-laws, and nephews. Thanks to Dr. Hugo Valencia, Dr. Ralph Brasacchio and their staff and nurses and others from the 3rd floor of F.F. Thompson Hospital and volunteers of Keuka Comfort Care who made him comfortable in his final journey of life. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Yates County, P.O. Box 12, or the Keuka Comfort Care Home, P.O. Box, 107, Penn Yan, NY 14527. Honoring his wishes there are no prior calling hours or public funeral. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday May 20, 2023, in section E, Hillside Cemetery, Dundee, N.Y.
