Ruth A. Mayoros Waneta Lake/Dundee: Ruth A. Mayoros, age 83, of East Waneta Lake, passed away Saturday February 25, 2023 in the comfort of her favorite chair. There are no calling hours. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at the convenience of the family on a date to be announced. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to a charity of their choice. Ruth was born August 4, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Robert D. and Genevieve Olive (Russel) Eaton. She graduated from West Allegany Senior High School in Imperial, PA Class of 1957. On Dec. 31, 1957 in Hagerstown, MD she married George J. Mayoros. Moving often due to her husband's career, while living in Rochester, she was employed as a saleswoman for Taylor Music Company in Greece, NY. They retired to the shores of Waneta Lake in 1995. In her spare time, Ruth loved to cook, take care of her yard and garden, collecting clocks, and visiting casino's. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, George J. Mayoros at home; a daughter Karen (Daniel) Delaney of Oswego, NY; 3 sons Robert Joseph (Marie) Mayoros of Elmira, NY, Gregory A. Mayoros at home, and Christian J. Mayoros of Conesus Lake , NY; along with 7 grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Sheila Martin of Pittsburgh, PA.
