She graduated in the Class of 1948 at Dundee Central School, graduated from Green Mountain Junior College in Vermont in 1950 and from Cornell University with a degree in Home Economics in 1952. On October 18, 1952 she married Norman L. Brooks who predeceased her on May 21, 2000. Nancy was an active member of the Tyrone Methodist Church.
