Obituary of John LeBeck

Richard "John" LeBeck Dundee: Richard "John" LeBeck, age 72, of Dundee, NY passed away in the comfort of his home with his family at his side on Thursday February 8, 2024. Honoring his wishes, there are no prior calling hours. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of His Life, from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm Saturday June 1st, 2024 at the family home. John as he was known to everyone was born June 3, 1951 to the late Richard and Aspacia 'Ann' (Kourakos) Lebeck. He was raised in New City NY with his sister and brother. He had a love for all things wine related. He was the longest practicing wine maker and an avid collector of wine history. He started with working at High Tor Winery at 18 and fell in love with it. He then opened and operated "The Chateau Esperanza" "J LeBeck Cellars" "Plymouth Winery" and "Crooked Lake Winery" amongst the other wineries he has worked at over the years in both New York and Massachusetts. He was quite the enthusiast for playing guitar, cooking, traveling, and his animals. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife and partner of over 38 years Yvonne their children Lisa (John) Williams Pensacola FL, Julian (Amy) LeBeck of Haverhill MA, Jaclyn (Tim) Lyons of Dundee NY, Natalie (Kent) Reardon of Nashua NH, Eric (Jessica) Lebeck of Dundee NY; his grandchildren Joe Williams, Alexis Williams, Dominic (Elizabeth) Lyons, Gabriel Lyons, Claudya Lyons, Zachary Williams, Nathan Williams, Vivienne LeBeck; great grandkids Liam, Emily and Jackson; his sister Gail LeBeck and brother Peter Lebeck.
