Barbara Louise Brown Rock Stream: Barbara Louise Brown, age 79, of Rock Stream, NY died unexpectedly on Tuesday January 8, 2019 at home. There were no prior calling hours. A Celebration of Her Life Open House will be held from 1-4 pm Saturday (Jan. 26) at the home of her daughter 2971 Ellison Road Watkins Glen NY 14891. Memorial contributions may be made to Schuyler County Humane Society 124 Marina Dr. Montour Falls, NY 14865. Barbara was born February 7, 1939 in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Roy David and Cora Josephine Platt Jones. On June 7, 1958 in Warren Center, PA she married the late Kenneth W. Brown who passed away on April 5 2002. Formerly of Webster, NY where she was a secretary employed by Xerox during the 1970's. She and Ken moved to Rock Stream in 1978 and became owners of the former Ken & Barb's, restaurant on Route 14; retiring in 1995. She is survived by her son Scott K. (Jeanie) Brown of Lakemont, NY; daughter Shareen K. "Shari" (Dennis) Moore of Watkins Glen, NY; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister Yvonne (Charlie) Franklin of Palmyra, NY, a brother Donald Jones of Hemet, CA; and several nieces, nephews, and in laws. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Sandra K. Brown-Fultz of Brockway, PA in 2017. Arrangements are by the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee.
